Webquests
There is a lot of buzz about webquests out there.
I don't actually see people using them very much, and they really work quite well.
Think of a webquest as a unit for your class that is organized around technology, presentation, teamwork, and research threads.
I have used several webquests with students in my math classes.

Webquests require a lot of work up front. They require a certain organization that some teachers don't have.
They are well worth the effort.
It is easier to modify an existing webquest instead of starting from scratch.
