Teacher Skills

• Good teaching skills transfer to the new environment well.

• Poor teaching skills seem a lot worse when you are teaching with technology because you haven't learned the ways to compensate.

• Have a backup plan. Networks sometimes go down. Sites have problems you can't control.

• Understand that you are teaching lots of things. Many students will not have worked well in groups and may need "coaching."

• Get over the fact that some student will figure something out that you wouldn't even notice. Encourage creative or efficient solutions, and get them to share with classmates. Take notes if you need to...
